This square with an intricate looking design is actually easy and uses only single and double crochet stitches. The square can be made in any size. It can be made small and joined together to make bags, cushion covers or baby blankets. It can be made as a large single square for a throw or an afghan. In my previous post I hade used the smallest version of this square to make a bag, You can view it here. I had joined slightly larger squares to make a cushion cover.

This is the pattern for a hexagon motif which can used to make shawls, bags, table runners or doilies. It's easy and beginner friendly. The motifs are joined on the go. I used category 1 yarn. You can, however, use any yarn and a suitable hook.

Note:
Each round is worked using the 2 colours alternately.
Do not cut the yarn off after every round and also you'll not be carrying it behind your work. At the end of each round you'll pull a long loop and keep the loop and yarn away from your current working yarn.
This square can be made as big as you want just by increasing the number of rounds.
