The pattern is written for 6 adult sizes - S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXL with finished chest circumference ranging from 32 to 54 inches. The sweater is worked from top down and the skill level is intermediate. I'm sure you'll love this pattern.

Crochet flower and leaf - free pattern

Hi, how are you all doing? Unbelievable events are happening around us and the future has never felt so uncertain. Everything is getting scarier day by day and I refrain myself from watching the news as much as possible. How lucky we crocheters are to have something to keep ourselves distracted, something that we love doing day in and day out. My only regret now is that I don't have enough yarn to do any big projects. I do have a huge amount of yarn but not enough in each color or variety to design a garment, so I'm sticking to smaller projects. I was working on a cable stitch sweater which I have to put on hold indefinitely as I ran out of yarn. Now I've taken out all the small leftover balls of yarn to make beautiful flowers and leaves. Here is my free pattern for you.

Materials:

Use any yarn you have and a suitable hook.

Size:

The size of the flower may vary depending on the yarn and the size of hook used. The flower that is shown here was crocheted using lace weight yarn and 1.75 mm crochet hook and measures approximately 13.5 cm across.

Abbreviations used (US terms):

** - repeat instruction within asterisks as many times as directed.
[ ] - work instructions within parenthesis as a set as many times as instructed.
ch - chain
st/sts - stitch/stitches
sl st - slip stitch
sc - single crochet
dc - double crochet
tr - treble
dtr - double treble

If you wish to purchase the PDF format of this pattern you can do so from here for a small price.

Kyra sweater - new pattern

Hi everybody, how are you'all? Summer is here and it's killing me. I hate summers. It's 7.30 in the evening and the temperature is 37 degree C. The heat always makes me so lethargic and even the routine housework makes me very tired.
Crocheting is the only enjoyable work even in summer. This is a top down pullover pattern that is very easy if you know to work around the posts (fpdc). I have written the instruction for 3 adult sizes - bust size of 34 inches, 36 to 38 inches and 38 to 40 inches. I have used light worsted/DK weight yarn and size G/4.00 mm hook.

Sleeves can be left short or made long. The pattern is now available in my webstore, Etsy and Ravelry.

New patterns - launch offer 30% off

I have listed 2 new patterns in my shops. The blue one is the Madelyn top pattern which is easy consisting of only few basic crochet stitches and therefore is suitable for a beginner. I have written the pattern for 2 sizes - adult small/medium which would fit a bust size of 34-36 inches and medium/large for a bust size of 38 to 40 inches

The grey one is the twisted cables cardigan which consists of advanced crochet stitches and would be suitable only for someone who knows advanced crochet stitches and has a knowledge of how cables are worked. This is my most difficult pattern to design ever. It gave me plenty of headaches but I was determined not to give up at any point and I'm very pleased with the way it turned out. I have written this pattern for 5 adult sizes ranging from a bust size of 34 to 42 inches.
I made it with and without sleeves.

As a launch offer I'm giving 30% off of these two patterns when you buy them from my webstore and also from Ravelry. You don't need any coupon code. The price will be automatically reduced during check out. I hope you enjoy these patterns.

A new skirt pattern

Armona skirt. This started out as a poncho. I always have this tendency of starting a pattern with something on mind and ending up with something else altogether.

This skirt was made using light worsted weight/DK yarn and size G/4.00 mm and size H/5.00 mm hooks. It is a single sized adult skirt pattern but the waist circumference can be adjusted to fit any size. The pattern is now available in my Etsy shop.

Round yoke pullover - new pattern

This new cable work sweater pattern is now available in my Etsy shop. I have written the pattern for 5 adult sizes.  I used sport weight yarn and size G/4.00 mm crochet hook. Since the pattern uses advanced techniques it is not suitable for beginners.

The pattern will be available soon in my other shops too. One more pattern is almost ready to be released. I will reveal it to you in my next post.

Have a great day!

Lace summer tunic

I took a giant step forward. Yes, I went ahead and crocheted a tunic top. For a very long time I refused to come out of my comfort zone, I was satisfied with designing only hats, scarves and other accessories and stayed out of anything that involved mathematics and headaches. But then I slowly graduated to designing a few baby clothes and realized that once you get the basics right it's a smooth sail after all.

So I took one more step forward with yarn and hook in hand and thoroughly enjoyed it. Can you believe, I'm already into my second project now and it involves cables. I'll let you have a glimpse of it in another post. I had a few hiccups initially, I was doubtful about the sizing but once I finished it and tried it on my dress form I knew I had done a good job.

Betsy hat and a peek into my next free pattern

Betsy is my latest hat pattern. I have written the pattern for adult size. It is worked using a heavier worsted weight yarn and size J/6.00 mm hook. The pattern can be purchased from my Etsy, Craftsy and Ravelry shops.

Now moving on to other stuff, I have a free pattern for you which I will hopefully publish in my next post. But before you can get a glimpse of that I want to show you some pictures of flowers and tomatoes from my terrace garden (not actually a garden, we just have a few potted plants)

This is going to be my next free pattern...

Olivia scarf

Before I introduce my new pattern I would like to thank you all for your lovely comments on my spring flower coasters.

Olivia is my latest scarf pattern. It measures about 65 inches from tip to tip and about 11 inches wide in the middle.  The crescent shaped scarf is worked from tip to tip and you have endless colour options. I used 5 colours alternately for one and 2 shades of green for another. One half of the scarf is worked using dark green and the second half using 2 shades alternately.  I used sport weight yarn and size H/5.00 mm hook.

The pattern is available in Etsy, Craftsy and Ravelry stores.

Larissa shawl

The Larissa shawl that I showed you here is now ready. I created the pattern especially for this yarn. I was having this variegated yarn for quite a long time without knowing what to use it for. Finally one day I took out all the five balls of yarn that I had and sat down to write a simple shawl pattern which would be easy to work without having to follow the pattern for each row. Though the pattern itself is very simple, the yarn and the edging worked in a complementing solid colour makes it more interesting.

The shawl after blocking has a height of about 27 inches and wingspan of 74 inches. The yarn is sport weight and I used H/5.00 mm crochet hook. The pattern for the shawl can be purchased from here, here and here

Candy floss mini blanket - new pattern

I started this blanket back in September last year. However I shelved it as I was not able to come up with a suitable edging pattern and I was diverted by other projects. The pattern is very easy and the squares are joined on the go. I love this method of joining squares rather than completing all the squares and joining them at the end. Though I have designed this as a baby blanket you can use the pattern to make blanket of any size. I used sport weight yarn and E/3.50 mm hook. However, you can use yarn of any weight and a suitable hook.
You can purchase the pattern from here, here, and here

Have a nice day!

New Year and new patterns

Happy 2016 to all of you!

Last year I didn't pay as much attention to my blog as I did to my shop. This year I hope I'll be able to spend more time on the blog. Though my contribution was not much last year I have managed to become AllFreeCrochetAfghanPattern's top bloggers for the 2nd time thanks to my Granny ripple pattern.

For the last couple of months I had been busy designing baby boots. I have listed them in my Etsy shop. They will be available soon in my Craftsy and Ravelry stores.

Are you one of those who make resolutions every year? I usually don't and even if I make resolutions I never stick to them, but this year I have resolved to reduce my weight and also be more organized, but the first day is going to be an exception. I made a rich chocolate cake with chocolate ganache icing and had 2 big slices. Also, we went out for dinner which was quite heavy. As soon as I returned home I weighed myself and was shocked to see that I had put on almost a kilo in 2 days. Also, my house is so messy right now. I'll start organising from tomorrow.

I wish 2016 proves to be a dream-come-true year for you and me.
