Strap:

Make chains long enough for the strap, insert hook into the ring of the clasp and pull through the last ch worked, sl st in each ch until the end, insert hook into the ring of the 2nd clasp, pull yarn and sl st in the 1st ch. Fasten off and weave in the ends.

If you wish to make a strap without the clasps just work chs long enough for the strap and work sl st in each ch. Sew both ends of the strap to the sides of the bag.

Finishing

Sew the flap to the bag. Flatten the top part of the bag with the joint at the side keeping the part where the joint is visible as the back and the other side as the front. Place the flat part of the semicircle behind the back part of the bag so that right side of both the bag and the flap are facing each other as shown in the image and sew both the loops of the sts in the flap to the back loops of the sts in the bag. You'll be joining into 30 sts.

Sew the magnetic button to the flap and the bag

Attach the strap to the sides of the bag.
