Oversized crochet top - free pattern

Hi, I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas. Today's pattern is an oversized top or a poncho style top which is very simple to construct and only consists of basic crochet stitches. It's just two pieces of rectangles, front piece shorter than the back, and both joined together at the shoulders and the sides.

 Assembling

Place the front and back pieces one on top of the other with the right side facing each other and place markers above the 19th(21st/23rd) tr from both the ends. Join the shoulders together by working sc sts starting from the edges and working up to the markers on both the sides. Cut off yarn. For the side seams, leave 8 (9/10) rows of tr from the top for armholes and join the sides together working sc sts along the sides moving down up to the top of the border of the front part. Cut off yarn and weave in the loose ends. You may work a round of sc around the armhole openings to make the edges neat.
