Crochet ear warmer headband - free pattern with video

Hi, looking for last minute Christmas gift ideas? You can make this easy beginner friendly ear warmer within a couple of hours. Also, the pattern is adjustable and you can make it in any size. Also feel free to use any yarn from your stash.

Materials Needed:

Medium worsted weight yarn less than 100 yards

Crochet hook 5.5 mm and 5 mm

Yarn needle

Measuring tape

(You can use any yarn and a suitable hook)

13 hdc = 4 inches approximately

Abbreviations/stitches used

ch - chain

st/sts - stitch/stitches

sc - single crochet

hdc - half double crochet

Row 1: Ch 17, hdc in the 3rd ch from hook, hdc in rest of the ch across. Turn. (15 hdc)

Row 2: Ch 1, hdc in the lower loops of each st across. Turn (15 sts)

Row 3: Ch 1, hdc in each st across. Turn. (15 sts)

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until the length is about 48 cm. Fold the band into half with the wrong side out and join the edges together by working single crochet into the lower loops of one end to the sts on the other end.

Using 5 mm crochet hook work sc along both the edges working 2 sc between each vertical braided pattern. Cut off yarn and weave in the ends.

To decrease the width just work fewer chains and to increase or decrease the circumference work more or fewer rows.
