Materials:

Dk/light worsted weight yarn in 3 colours

4 mm crochet hook

Yarn needle

Stitches/Abbreviations Used:

** - Repeat instructions between asterisks as many times as directed

[ ] - Repeat instructions within brackets as a set as many times as directed

st/sts - stitch/stitches

ch - chain

sl st - slip stitch

sc - single crochet

dc - double crochet 

fptr - front post treble

Instruction

Round 1: Using colour A make a magic ring, ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc into ring, ch 1, **[3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] ch 1** into ring, repeat from ** to ** 2 more times. Join with a sl st to top of ch 3. 

Round 2: Sl st in next 2 sts and in the next ch-2 space, ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same space, ch 1, **[3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] in next ch-2 space, ch 1** Repeat from ** to ** finishing the round by working a sl st in the 3rd ch at the beginning of the round. Fasten off.

Round 3: Join colour B in the next ch-2 space,  ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same space, ch 1, **in the next ch-1 space work dc, fptr in the 2nd dc below the ch-1 space, dc in the same ch-1 space, ch 1, [3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] in next corner ch-2 space, ch 1** Repeat from ** to ** finishing the round by working a sl st in the 3rd ch at the beginning of the round.

Round 4: Sl st in next 2 sts and in the next ch-2 space, ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same space, ch 1, **[3 dc, ch 1] in each ch-1 space, [3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] in next corner ch-2 space, ch 1** Repeat from ** to ** finishing the round by working a sl st in the 3rd ch at the beginning of the round. Fasten off.

Round 5: Join colour C in the next ch-2 space,  ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in same space, ch 1, **in each ch-1 space work dc, fptr in the 2nd st below the ch-1 space, dc in the same ch-1 space, ch 1, [3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc] in next corner ch-2 space, ch 1** Repeat from ** to ** finishing the round by working a sl st in the 3rd ch at the beginning of the round.

Round 6: Repeat round 4. Fasten off.
