Materials:

DK weight/light worsted weight yarn in 2 colours

4 mm crochet hook

Yarn needle

Stitches/Abbreviations:

** - Repeat instructions between asterisks as many times as directed

ch - chain

st/sts - stitch/stitches

sl st - slip stitch

sc - single crochet 

dc - double crochet

Instruction

Round 1: Using colour A, ch 16, dc in 4^th ch from hook, dc in 11 ch, 5 dc in last ch, dc in 11 ch on the other side, 3 dc in next ch. Join with a sl st to the 1^st st (skipped 3 ch at the beginning will count as the 1^st st. (32 sts)

Round 2: Ch 1, sc in same st, **ch 2, skip next 3 sts, 5 dc in the next st, ch 2, skip next 3 sts, sc in next st** Repeat from ** to ** 3 more times joining the last ch-2 with a sl st to the sc at the beginning of the round.

Round 3: Join colour B in the 1^st dc, ch 1, **sc in 1^st dc, ch 3, sc in 2^nd dc, ch 3, skip 3rd dc, sc in 4^th dc, ch 3, sc in 5^th dc, ch 5** Repeat from ** to ** around, instead of the last ch-5 work 2 ch and then a dc in the 1^st sc at the beginning of the round.

Round 4: Join colour A in the previous ch-5 space, ch 3 (counts as dc), 4 dc in same space, ch 2, skip the 1^st ch-3 space, sc in the next ch-3 space, ch 2, **5 dc in the next ch-5 space, ch 2, skip the 1^st ch-3 space, sc in the next ch-3 space, ch 2** Repeat from ** to ** 2 more times, sl st in the top of ch 3.   

Round 5 to 14: Repeat rounds 3 and 4 five more times.

Edging

Round 1: Ch 1, **sc in 1st dc, ch 3, skip next dc, sc in next dc, ch 3, skip next dc, sc in next dc, ch 3, sc in sc** Repeat from ** to ** around.

Round 2: Sl st in ch-3 space, ch 4, repeat [dc, ch 1] 3 times in same space, repeat [dc, ch 1] 4 times in each ch-3 space around. Join with a sl st to 3rd ch. Fasten off and weave in all the loose ends of yarn. 

Cord

Ch 75.

Weave the cord in and out through the ch-3 spaces of round 1 of edging with the two ends in the middle at the front.
