Materials:

Medium worsted weight/category 4 yarn approximately 570 meters/625 yards

H/5 mm crochet hook

Yarn needle

Size:

The finished scarf measures 9.5 inches wide and 75 inches long

Stitches/Abbreviations Used:

** - Repeat instructions within asterisks as many times as directed

ch - chain

st/sts - stitch/stitches

sc - single crochet

dc - double crochet

Note:

• The pattern is written using standard American terms
• For a custom width make chains in multiples of 5 + 2

Instruction:

Row 1: Ch 42, sc in 2^nd ch from hook, **ch 6, skip 4 ch, sc in next ch** Repeat from ** to ** across. Turn.  
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 4 dc in next ch-6 space, 5 dc in each ch-6 space except the last, 4 dc in last space, dc in last sc. Turn. (40 sts)  
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in same st, ch 6, skip next 4 sts, sc in the next space between the sts, ch 6, **skip next 5 sts, sc in the next space between the sts, ch 6** Repeat from ** to ** across, skip next 4 sts, sc in the last st. Turn.
Repeat rows 2 and 3.
