For custom size

For a custom size, measure the widest part of your calf in inches and check gauge. Calculate how many stiches you need to make for your desired size. Round off the number to the closest multiple of 3 and add 2 to it. For example, if the calf circumference is 11 inches, you will need to have the finished legwarmer with a circumference of about 10 inches. According to gauge in 1 inch you will have 3.75 sts, so for 10 inches you should have 37.5 sts. If you take 36 as a multiple of 3 and add 2 to it you will have 38 sts. So the body of the legwarmer will have 38 sts and the lower ribbing should have 1 row less, which would be 37 rows for the lower ribbing. Then continue working the pattern as instructed.
