The granny stripes that I showed you earlier has taken the form of a beautiful, bright-coloured pillow cover. I initially started to make a cover for another stool but then changed it to a pillow cover. I needed this cover very much because the set of three cushions that were without cover were starting to get dirty with my son throwing them all around the house. So the cushions were a priority and the stool could wait.
Instead of making the whole cover multicolored I chose to use multiple colous for one-third of the pillow and use a single colour for the rest of it. This gives an ethnic look to the pillow.
I have two more pillows from this set. I don't want all the three to look similar but at the same time I don't want them to look entirely different. So I am using the same color combinations for those two but going to change the pattern.
I have started working on my next pillow cover and hope to finish it soon.
Have a nice weekend.
As usual.. nice one...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely lovvvveee it!!!!Its stunning!!Perfect with one third multicolored and rest single colored.
ReplyDeleteOtro cojín precioso. El contraste de las rayas con el color azul queda muy bonito.
ReplyDeleteUn saludo.
the title suits very well! very stunning! I am also going to make something like this!Love!
ReplyDeleteLovely! My fav color blue!
ReplyDeleteOh I love this! What a great idea with the block of one color. This could make good use of leftover yarn from other projects as so many times one has lots of one color and not so much of the others. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the effect of the large block of a single color. Also easier to work up! How does it close up? Is it all stitched together or does it have buttons or something that make it removable?
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone. Yes CrochetBlogger, I have stitched buttons on one side to make it removable.
ReplyDeleteits soo beautiful!love the one third multicolour and the rest solid option you used.Gives it a nice classy look!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of mixing it up -- and love the color. Any shade of blue is beautiful to me. Along with a bit of the rainbow, it's fabulous! Best wishes, Tammy
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I can't wait to make my first cushion/pillow.
ReplyDeleteHi!
