Instruction
Round 1: Ch 27, sc in 2nd
ch from hook, sc in next 24 chs, 3 sc in the last ch, sc in next 24 ch on the other side, 2 sc in
the next ch. Join with a sl st to 1st sc (54 sc)
Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in same
st, sc in next 24 sts, 2 sc in the next 3 sts, sc in next 24 sts, 2 sc in the
next 2 sts. Join with a sl st to the 1st st. (60 sc)
Round 3: Ch 1, sc in each st
around. Join with a sl st to the 1st sc. (60 sc)
Round 4: Ch 6 (counts as dc
+ ch 3), dc in same st, **skip 3 sts, [dc, ch 3, dc] in next st** Repeat from
** to ** around. Join with a sl st to the 3rd ch.
Round 5: Ch 1, 5 sc in each
ch-3 space around. Join with a sl st to the 1st sc. (75 sc)
Round 6: Sl st in next 2
sts, ch 6, dc in same st, repeat [dc, ch 3, dc] in the 3rd sc in each
set of 5 sc around. Join with a sl st to the 3rd ch.
Round 7 to 10: Repeat rounds 5 and
6 two more times.
Round 11: Ch 1, 4 sc in each
ch-3 space around. Join with a sl st to the 1st sc. (60 sc)
Round 12: Ch 1, sc in each st
around. Join with a sl st to the 1st sc. (60 sc)
Continue working the strap.
Make chs long enough for the strap. Work sc at the other end to join the chs to the bag. Sl st in each ch until you reach other end. Fasten off and weave in the loose ends of yarn.
Sew a button to the front of the bag. Join yarn at the back side of the bag right behind the button and make enough chs to form a loop to go around the button, sl st in the next st and fasten off and weave in the ends.
