1.75 mm crochet hook

Abbreviations/stitches Used:

** - repeat instructions between asterisks as many times as directed

[ ] - repeat instruction within brackets as a set as many times as directed

st/sts - stitch/stitches

sl st - slip stitch

ch - chain

sc - single crochet 

dc - double crochet

dc6tog - double crochet worked together in 6 consecutive stitches

Instruction:

Row 1: Ch 6, in the last ch from the hook work [dc, ch 1] 2 times, dc, ch 5, turn.

Row 2: Dc in same st, 2 dc in next ch-1 space, ch 3, [dc, ch 2, dc] in next ch-1 space, 2 dc in next space, dc in next ch, ch 5. Turn.

Row 3: Dc in 3 dc, ch 3, 7 dc in next ch-2 space, ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, ch 5, turn.

Row 4: Dc in 3 dc, ch 3, dc in next dc, repeat [ch 1, dc in next dc] 6 times, ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, ch 5, turn.

Row 5: Dc in 3 dc, ch 3, skip next ch-3 space, sc in next ch-1 space, repeat [ch 3, sc in next ch-3 space] 4 times, ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, ch 5, turn.

Row 6: Dc in 3 dc, ch 3, skip next ch-3 space, sc in next ch-3 space, repeat [ch 3, sc in next ch-3 space] 3 times, ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, ch 5, turn.

Row 7: Dc in 3 dc, ch 3, skip next ch-3 space, sc in next ch-3 space, repeat [ch 3, sc in next ch-3 space] 2 times, ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, ch 5, turn.

Row 8: Dc in 3 dc, ch 3, skip next ch-3 space, sc in next ch-3 space, ch 3, sc in next ch-3 space, ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, ch 5, turn.

Row 9: Dc in 3 dc, ch 3, skip next ch-3 space, sc in next ch-3 space, ch 3, dc in next 3 dc, ch 5, turn.

Row 10: Dc in 6 dc, ch 5, turn.

Row 11: dc6tog, ch 3, sl st in dc6tog, ch 5, sl st in same st, ch 3, sl st in same st. Fasten off. 

Join yarn at the bottom of the pineapple pattern. ch 60, sc in 2nd ch from the hook and in rest of the chs up to the top, sl st in the same place where you joined the yarn and fasten off. Weave in all the loose ends of yarn.

Attach a tassel to the bottom of the tail.
