Materials:

Light worsted weight/category 3 yarn approximately 800-850 meters

G/4 mm crochet hook

Measuring tape

Yarn needle

Size:

Approximately 16 inches wide after blocking and 74 inches long (length is adjustable)

Stitches/Abbreviations Used:

** - Repeat instructions between asterisks as many times directed

[ ] - Repeat instructions within parenthesis as a set as many times as directed

st/sts - stitch/stitches

ch - chain

sl st - slip stitch

sc - single crochet 

dc - double crochet

tr - treble 

Note:

• The pattern is written in standard American terms.
• For a custom width make chains in multiples of 8 + 2
• Block the shawl for better result.

Instruction:

Row 1: Ch 82, sc in 2^nd ch from hook, **ch 2, skip 3 ch, 4 dc in next ch, ch 2, skip 3 ch, sc in next ch** Repeat from ** to ** across. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 4 (counts as 1^st st + ch 1), dc in next dc, [ch 1, dc in next dc] 3 times, **ch 2, dc in next dc, [ch 1, dc in next dc] 3 times** Repeat from ** to ** across, ch 1, dc in last sc. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 3, **dc in next dc, [ch 2, dc in next dc] 3 times, skip next ch-2 space** Repeat from ** to ** across, dc in last st. Turn.
Row 4: Ch 4 (counts as 1^st st + ch 1), sc in next ch-2 space, ch 2, 4 dc in next ch-2 space, ch 2, sc in next ch-2 space, **ch 3, sc in next ch-2 space, ch 2, 4 dc in next ch-2 space, ch 2, sc in next ch-2 space** Repeat from ** to ** across, ch 1, dc in last st. Turn,
