This pattern is for a beautiful crochet shawl with dragonflies and lovely lace border. It's an easy pattern and suitable for beginners. Materials:

Shawl
Row 1: Ch 83, dc in 4th
ch from hook, dc in rest of chs across. Turn. (81 sts)
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in next 7
sts, ch 2, skip next st, **dc in next 15 sts, ch 2, skip next st** Repeat from
** to ** 3 more times, dc in last 8 sts.
Row 3: Ch 3, dc in next 2 sts,
**ch 11, skip 5 sts before and after ch-2 space, work dc in the next 5 sts** Repeat
from ** to ** across finishing the row with dc in the last 3 sts following 11
chs. Turn.
Row 4: Ch 3, dc in next
st, 2 dc in next st, ch 4, dc in the ch-2 space one row below, ch 4, 2 dc in
next dc, **dc in next 3 dc, 2d dc in next dc, ch 4, dc in the ch-2 space one
row below, ch 4, 2 dc in next dc** Repeat from ** to ** across, dc in last 2

Row 5: Ch 3, dc in each dc

ch-3 space, **ch 3, 3 dc in next ch-3 space** Repeat from ** to ** across, ch 2,

space, **ch 7, 2 dc in next ch-3 space** Repeat from ** to ** across, dc in
last st. Turn.
Row 4: Ch 4 (counts as
tr), [4 dc, ch 5, 4 dc] in ch-7 space, **ch 3, dc in next ch-7 space, ch 3,
[4 dc, ch 5, 4 dc] in next ch-7 space** Repeat from ** to ** across, tr in last
st. Turn.
Row 5: Ch 4 (counts as

Join yarn in the 1st
