This is an open work pattern which would be excellent for scarves. Use any yarn and a suitable hook.
For this pattern you will need to make chains in multiples of 9 + 6. As always the pattern is written in standard American terms. The stitches used are ch-chains, sc- single crochet and dc-double crochet.
Row 1: Start by making chains in multiples of 9 and an additional 6. Skip 6 ch and sc in 7th ch, **ch 2, skip 2 ch, 5 dc in next ch, ch 2, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch, ch 5, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch** Repeat from ** to ** until you are left with 8 ch, ch 2, skip 2 ch, 5 dc in next ch, ch 2, skip 2 ch, sc in next ch, ch 2, skip next ch, dc in last ch. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in same st, ch 2, **dc in next dc, [ch 1, dc in next dc] 4 times, ch 2, sc in next ch-5 space, ch 2** Repeat from ** to ** across, sc in last ch-5 space. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 4, **dc in next dc, [ch 2, dc in next dc] 4 times** Repeat from ** to ** across, dc in last sc. Turn.
Row 4: **ch 5, sc in next ch-2 space, ch 2, skip next ch-2 space, 5 dc in next dc, ch 2, skip next ch-2 space, sc in next ch-2 space** Repeat from ** to ** across, ch 2, dc in last space. Turn.
Now you have to repeat rows 2 to 4 until you reach the desired height.
That's it. I'll be back with updates on my current makes. Bye.
