I saw the pattern for this cute bunny in a Japanese crochet magazine. It was in the chart form. I always preferred diagrams to written instructions when crocheting doilies, potholders, etc. but so far I had never tried making an amigurumi using a diagram. On the first glance they always seemed confusing but this one was too cute to give up. It was not as difficult as I had assumed but because of my poor sewing skills I had trouble making a dress for her. Somehow I managed to whip up one.
My scrap yarn rug is progressing beautifully. It is 36 inches wide and right now measures about 55 inches long. I am planning to make it 75" long. I was hoping that this rug would empty my scrap yarn reserve, but with the amount that is still left I think I would be able to do one more similar sized rug.

Have a nice day!

I thought the same thing with the diagrams, but having found so many beautiful patterns I had to give it a try. I think it is the easier way to go if you can keep track of where you are...you can actually see what is going on ..don't get me wrong I still prefer written instructions, but diagrams make things easy if you need to see how it all works. Oh yeah the bunny looks so cute.
ReplyDeleteThe bunny is adorable and the rug is fantastic! Oh my goodness I am in love with it.
