Crochet for my grandma and mom

As mentioned earlier, I took plenty of yarns along with me during my vacation and made a few items for my mom, grandma and a neighbour, but unfortunately I took photos of only few of them.

This is a stool cover that I made for my grandma. This is a favorite of mine.

Actually this is the cover that I made first for the stool at my mom's place. After seeing this my grandma asked me to make one for her too and I made the one that I showed in the beginning. 

My grandma also wanted me to make a round table topper and so I made this. I didn't use any pattern for this. I created my own.

I wish I had photographed others too. I would have had lots to share with you.

Wonderful Weekend

I had an amazing weekend!

I had intended to share with you all the crochet that I had done during my vacation, but got busy with my son's school projects. I took along with me plenty of yarns but except for this potholder I didn't do anything for myself. I made a couple of small flower-like doilies for my neighbour, but unfortunately I didn't photograph them. Then I made a couple of stool covers for my grandma and my mom, and a round table topper for my grandma. I will show them all in another post. This potholder is sort of incomplete. I forgot to make the loop.

 I worked out the pattern on my own, but forgot to write it down : (

There was indeed an occasion to celebrate. My brother is back in India. He has moved back from UK and I am seeing him after almost 2 long years.

Besides plenty of other things see what bro got for me...

Cookie cutters in all imaginable shapes, and colorful too.

Silicone cupcake moulds. 

Have any of you used these silicone moulds? Won't they melt in the oven?

I guess I should run a google search and find out.

And Chocolates, PLENTY of them!

But when I opened a packet you know what I found?

 One gooey mess! The chocolates had all melted and clumped together.

But who cares?

Wow! It's great to be back after a very long break. I mean great to be back to blogging, not so great to be back in Delhi. I hate Delhi summers. Though it rained for a couple of days the climate is still not agreeable to me. My mom is doing well and thanks for all your wishes. I really had a wonderful time, an unbelieveably long time without the internet. Here are a few photos from my vacation to share with you all.

Of course, I took plenty of yarns along and managed to hook a few items for my mom and grandma. I will show them in my next post. In the meantime, there is lot of catching up to do and I will do that now.
