First of all a big thank you to all of you who wished me well in my last post. The healing process certainly is going to be a lengthy one. Even after 2 weeks of daily dressing changes the wound doesn't show any sign of closing and I am having sleepless nights with my head filled with all sorts of questions. Will it ever heal at all, even if it does will it be proper? What if it gets infected? Do I need more sutures to close it? 

I'll be seeing the doctor next week. I hope I don't go crazy before that.

I want to rest my arms as much as possible. Too much movement sometimes hurts my back though I'm pain-free most of the time. So just to keep my crochet appetite whetted I chose to make something small and simple.

  

Since it was very easy I decided to write out the pattern as well.  Thus today I managed to keep myself busy crocheting, photographing and creating this post. 

  I used fingering weight yarn and size 2.00 mm hook. I have written the pattern using American terms. 

Pretty little flower

Round 1: Ch 5 and join with a slip stitch to form a ring.

Round 2: Ch 1, and make 10 sc into ring. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc.

Round 3: Ch 3, skip next stitch and sc in next stitch, [ch 3, skip next stitch and sc in next stitch] 4 times. 

Round 4: In each loop make [sc, ch 2, (dc, ch 2) 5 times, sc]. 

Stem

If you want your flowers to have stems, join green in any sc between 2 petals and ch 10 or more if you want a longer stem, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in rest of the chains. Join with a sl st to the sc where you joined the yarn and break off yarn. 

Pretty little leaves 

Using green, ch 9, sc in 2nd and 3rd ch from hook, hdc in next ch, dc in next 4 ch, 5 dc in last ch, dc in next 4 ch on the other side, hdc in next ch, sc in next 2 ch, join with a slip stitch to next stitch and break off yarn. Weave in all the loose ends.

Your flowers are ready. You can take a bunch of them and tie the stems together using a small piece of yarn.
