Hi, I don't know how many of you have this problem, but my knees tend to get colder than the rest of the body and achy during winters. I do have joint problem and so I made this pair of warmers for me, specifically to keep my knees warm. I'm sure there might be many of you who have the same problem and this pattern might be useful for you.
These warmers can be made in any size.

Row 1: Ch 1, sc in the 2nd ch from hook, sc in rest of the chs across. Turn. (14 sts)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in the front loops of each st across. Turn. (14 sts)
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in the back loops of each st across. Turn. (14 sts)
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until the length is about 1 to 2 inches (depending on the stretch) less than the circumference of your leg right below the knee. The length of my ribbing was 12 inches and my actual circumference was 13 inches.
Fold into half with the right side in and join the 2 ends together by working sc sts through the sts on both the ends.
Pull the right side out and start working around the circumference of the ribbing.
Round 1: Ch 1, hdc around the edge of the ribbing working 1 st in each ridge and 1 st in the space between 2 ridges which means that you will be working 1 st in each row of the ribbing. Join at the end with a sl st to the 1st st at the beginning. Whatever your stitch count is maintain it throughout the rest of the rounds.
Round 2: Ch 1, hdc in each st around. Join with a sl st to the 1st st at the beginning of round.
Repeat round 2 until the total height is about 6 inches.
Cuff
Round 1: Ch 1, dc in each st around. Join with a sl st to 1st st.
Round 2: Ch 1, repeat [fpdc in next st, dc in next st] around. Join with a sl st to 1st st.
Round 3: Ch 1, repeat [fpdc in fpdc, dc in dc] around. Join and cut off yarn. Weave in the loose ends.
Great idea especially if you have painful stiff knee joints. x
