Grey smoke wrap - free crochet pattern

 

This is a very easy, beginner friendly shawl/wrap pattern. It is a two-row repeat pattern.

Materials Needed:

Sport weight yarn approximately 1400 meters
H/5 mm crochet hook
Measuring tape
Yarn needle

Size

The shawl has a width of 18 inches and length is adjustable. Mine is 80 inches

Stitches/Abbreviations Used:

** - Repeat instructions within asterisks as many times as required
[ ] - Repeat instructions within parenthesis as a set as many times as required
st/sts - stitch/stitches
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
hdc - half double crochet
dc - double crochet

Instruction

Row 1: Ch 128, skip 7 ch and dc in the 8th ch from hook, dc in next ch, hdc in next ch, sc in next ch, ch 3, skip 3 ch, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in next 2 chs, **ch 3, skip next ch, dc in next 2 ch, hdc in next ch, sc in next ch, ch 3, skip 3 chs, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in next 2 ch** Repeat from ** to ** across until you have 2 chs left, ch 2, skip next ch, dc in last ch. Turn.

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in 1st st, 2 sc in next ch-2 space, ch 3, 3 dc in ch-3 space, **ch 3, 3 sc in next ch-3 space, ch 3, 3 dc in next ch-3 space** Repeat from ** to ** across, ch 3, 3 sc in last space. Turn.

Row 3: Ch 5, **[2 dc, hdc, sc] in next ch-3 space, ch 3, [sc, hdc, 2 dc] in next ch-3 space, ch 3** Repeat from ** to ** across, ch 2, dc in last st. Turn.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you reach the desired length finishing with row 2. Cut off yarn and weave in the ends.
